DHA has announced that software and systems for the new TSS employer sponsored visa regime will be installed from 8pm on 2 March to 9am on 3 March, but no announcement has been made about the actual TSS implementation date when the 457 programme will be closed and the TSS program will replace it. Industry sources are estimating the TSS implementation date to be somewhere between 3 March and 15 March 2018.
In an announcement available on the ImmiAccount login page, DHA has announced that the ImmiAccount system will be down from 8pm 2 March to 9am 3 March. In roadshow presentations last week, DHA stated that this downtime would be for the purposes of installing new software that would allow the implementation of the new TSS visa, but that the actual implementation date was unknown and could be some days after the installation of the software.
While the ImmiAccount system encountered major issues earlier this week related to an apparent overload of applications, the system has been functioning well by all reports during Thursday and Friday this week as agents and applicants lodged applications.
Immigration Law News will provide updates about the TSS implementation date, SAF training levy implementation date and other late breaking news about DHA changes over the coming weeks.
